PURPOSE

The purpose of this News Commentary Section is to assist the faithful in recognizing the signs and lies of These End Times. Somehow, many self appointed Shepherds of These Times are trying to convince the faithful that the Apocalypse will be, using street slang, "a piece of cake" for them and "hell" for all others. They are led to believe that if they "do this" and "do that" they do not have a thing to worry about (of course, so long as that between the "do this" and the "do that" they send in a donation).

Others lead the faithful to believe that "All Is Well" and will continue to be, of course, as long as those donations keep coming in...

Wrong! For either case scenario to be true, the Old and New Testament has to be invalid. Logically, if the Holy Scriptures are invalid there is no use for "Shepherds", is there? So what is their function besides collecting money?

Spending it, of course!

Now, let us focus on the real world and the news about its crumbling structures, philosophies and half-baked theories. With the assistance of the Holy Spirit of God, Who cannot be falsified, the disoriented faithful will be able to understand what is truly taking place and why.

NEWS - We're "Neither Angels nor Demons," Says Opus Dei Spokesman -   December 25 -  Zenit

Selected Quotes:   (Highlighting, if any, by The M+G+R Foundation)

"An Opus Dei spokesman has expressed satisfaction with a new book on the personal prelature written by an American journalist.

Marc Carroggio, who oversees Opus Dei's relationship with international journalists in Rome, said he was satisfied with the book just published by John Allen. "Opus Dei: An Objective Look Behind the Myths and Reality of the Most Controversial Force in the Catholic Church" has been published so far in English, Portuguese and Korean.

Carroggio told ZENIT that this is the first book that compares dispassionately the myths and reality surrounding "the Work," as it's called by Opus Dei members. "The author has understood well the nature of Opus Dei," Carroggio said.

Q: You must be happy since this book clears up many issues about Opus Dei.

Carroggio: I worked in the Rome press office while John Allen was writing this book. I can say that I am satisfied with it, especially with respect to its method."

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

We cannot thank God enough for His continued assistance in fulfilling our function for the End of These Times. No one would believe us if we stated that Mr. Allen's book was no more than an approved white-wash - carefully applied after the Da Vinci's Code was utilized to call the world's attention to the Opus Dei. However, when an individual as Mr. Carroggio endorses it, then it has been confirmed.

Traditionally Opus Dei will not raise its voice to defend an outrage against God, or the Catholic Church but if anyone that they think has wide public reach, they will "jump in hands and feet" to defend their group. God also gave us a golden opportunity to illustrate that.

If only 5% of what may be learned about Opus Dei in our Opus Dei Indexes in English and Spanish were true, it would be enough to expose Allen's book as another Opus fraud. Personally we are fed up with their meddling in world affairs, but, thanks be to God, their end is not far off. We shall offer such disgust precisely for the conversion of those amongst their membership who seem to be completely ignorant of their ultimate goal.

NEWS - Mosques monitored for radiation -   December 23 -  Reuters

Selected Quotes:   (Highlighting, if any, by The M+G+R Foundation)

U.S. officials have secretly monitored radiation levels at Muslim sites, including mosques and private homes, since September 11, 2001 as part of a top secret program searching for nuclear bombs, U.S. News and World Report said on Friday.

The news magazine said in its online edition that the far-reaching program covered more than a hundred sites in the Washington, D.C., area and at least five other cities.

"In numerous cases, the monitoring required investigators to go on to the property under surveillance, although no search warrants or court orders were ever obtained, according to those with knowledge of the program," the magazine said.

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

This is reckless reporting and, quite frankly, if the surveillance was indeed only done as reported, the US government should legally process the magazine and track down the sources and take them to court too.

Have these people forgotten the Nuke at the Soviet Embassy in Washington, D.C.?

This is one kind of "press freedom" we do not need and one surveillance system that we do need!

NEWS - Catholic priest suing New York, Newark archdioceses -   December 13 -  MichNews

Selected Quotes:   (Highlighting, if any, by The M+G+R Foundation)

The following is a quotation of the text of a press release, dated Dec. 13, 2005, from New York attorney John Aretakis regarding Father Robert Hoatson, a Catholic priest who is suing the New York and Newark archdioceses, the Congregation of Christian Brothers and the Albany diocese. Following that is the unedited text of the lawsuit itself.

Fr. Robert Hoatson, currently a Newark Archdiocese priest and former Christian Brother is suing the Newark and New York Archdiocese, the Albany Diocese and the Christian Brothers for 5 Million Dollars for the Church's and his employers’ retaliation and harassment due to the fact that Fr. Hoatson has been outspoken and critical of predatory priests in the church and for the sexual abuse he suffered as a seminarian, and most importantly for assisting victims of clergy sexual abuse for the last 3 years.

NEWS - Benedict XVI decries commercialization of Christmas -   December 18 -  Reuters

Selected Quotes:   (Highlighting, if any, by The M+G+R Foundation)

The German Pope, who will mark his first Christmas as Roman Catholic leader later this week, discarded his prepared text and delivered the entire sermon off the cuff.

It was the second time in as many weeks that the Pope warned against rampant materialism at Christmas. Earlier this month he said commercial "pollution" was ruining the spirit of Christmas.

In his improvised sermon, the Pope also told the faithful to remember that God was the "only insurance" to help people deal with sickness, loneliness and death. "Only one insurance protects us. Only the Lord, and he tells us not to be afraid," he said.

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

And miguel de Portugal decries the commercialization of the Church since Constantine presided the "Hallowed" Council of Nicae Council that shaped the Material Church for the centuries to come as St. Francis pointed out.

Benedict XVI should be happy; the brand of Evangelization the Church assumed obviously has giving much fruit, at the expense of the Faithful, of course. Why complain now? Does he think that God has that short of a memory? He hasn't forgotten the Borgia Pope, Alexander VI, either, we just found out... and the reader will also in the near future.

In reference to the "insurance" remark - of course, that is our belief, however, some conditions do apply for such policy to be in force as many Dioceses and their Insurance Companies have learned after disbursing over ONE BILLION dollars to pay a few "celibacy slip ups", which caused more damage than the billion dollars are worth.

NEWS - From Various Sources -  From December 8th through December 14th

(Highlighting, if any, by The M+G+R Foundation)

British Mercenaries Shooting at Baghdad Motorists - December 8 -  Scoop-Independent News

Security contractors of the so-called "Victory" Group of the British mercenary Firm Aegis Defense Services have committed the ultimate war crime: the indiscriminate killing of civilians as part of a "game", not a video game but a real game of shooting Iraqi civilians as a form of entertainment, as revealed in a "trophy video" posted on an Aegis employees website. There are in fact several video clips, which suggests that the practice is not an isolated event.

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

This is how low our "civilized" world has gone in its mad race to hell. How can we, with a straight face, ask God for Mercy for this world. It deserves the same as Noah's world received, since we have not learned yet.

Pentagon may be spying on anti-war activistsDecember 14 -  Reuters
-
The Pentagon has a secret database that indicates the U.S. military may be collecting information on Americans who oppose the Iraq war and may be also monitoring peace demonstrations, NBC reported on Tuesday.

The database, obtained by the network, lists 1,500 "suspicious incidents" across the United States over a 10-month period and includes four dozen anti-war meetings or protests, some aimed at military recruiting, NBC's Nightly News said.

The network said the document was the first inside look at how the Pentagon has stepped up intelligence collection in the United States since the September 11, 2001, attacks.

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

This is not an unreasonable strategy as long as it is not utilized as
Glado was. Properly implemented, it will prevent orchestrated flares of anarchism; unfortunately, its credibility has already been tainted by recent events.

Pentagon aims US messages for foreign media - December 14 -  Reuters

A $400 million Pentagon psychological warfare operation includes plans to place pro-American messages in foreign media outlets without disclosing the U.S. government as the source, USA Today reported on Wednesday.

Citing one of the military officials in charge of the program, the newspaper said the media campaign was being designed to counter terrorist ideology and sway foreign audiences to support U.S. policies.

The report said the program, run by psychological warfare experts at the U.S. Special Operations Command, would operate throughout the world, including in allied nations and in countries where the United States is not involved in armed conflict.

The description of the program by Mike Furlong, deputy director of the Joint Psychological Operations Support Element, provides the most detailed look to date at the Pentagon's global campaign, USA Today said.

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

Once again - although not an intrinsically bad strategy, it is doomed even before it gets underway. What it will now result in is that, even the legitimate news reports, will be seen as outright propaganda. Since the world already knows what the power of well orchestrated media propaganda can do, the US will harvest additional enemies - as if we needed any more!  Will the White House ever learn? [The answer to that rhetorical question is, for the record: "No, until it is too late."

Benedict XVI Extols the Example of Consecrated Persons - December 12 - Zenit

To present God to a world overwhelmed by   hedonism, materialism and individualism, the Church needs the testimony of chastity, poverty and obedience of consecrated persons, says Benedict XVI.

The Pope expressed this conviction Saturday when meeting in Paul VI Hall with 8,000 religious  and members of secular institutes and societies of apostolic life of the Rome Diocese.

"The Church has need of your testimony, she has need of a consecrated life that will address with  courage and creativity the challenges of the present time," the Holy Father told his listeners, after  they were introduced by Cardinal Camillo Ruini, his vicar for Rome.

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

These "touching words" bring to mind what the world knows about
Hierarchical  "Poverty"

They also bring to mind the memories that
Law was rewarded by John Paul II with the St. Mary Major Basilica in Rome  and the very recent memory that the same Benedict XVI appointed Archbishop Levada  to be the "guardian of the Faith".

With these hollow statements is how
these people are destroying whatever little is left of the Faith.

NEWS - Bright Planets and Meteors -   December 11 -  NASA

Selected Quotes:   (Highlighting, if any, by The M+G+R Foundation)

FALSE AURORAS: With a strong cold wave sweeping across the United States, reports have come pouring in of colorful lights in the sky.

These are false auroras, also known as "light pillars" -- luminous columns caused by manmade lights hitting snow or ice crystals in the air. Look for them after a light snowfall. False auroras can be almost as pretty as the real thing.

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

God's "chatter" goes on relentlessly with the Divine Hope that all who belong to Him hear and avoid much suffering for themselves. FALSE AURORAS  to announce FALSE DAWN?

Note: It is interesting to note that several hours after we issued the above as a letter to our Select List, NASA had removed the mention and photograph of False Auroras from their News Page. If you wish to see the original, let us know.

NEWS - Netanyahu: Israel should take out Iranian nuclear facilities -   December 4 -  DPA

Selected Quotes:   (Highlighting, if any, by The M+G+R Foundation)

Israel should undertake an operation to destroy the Iranian nuclear programme similar to the airstrike it launched against the nuclear reactor built by Saddam Hussein, leading opposition legislator and prime ministerial candidate Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday.

"Israel should not allow Iran to develop a nuclear threat against it," Netanyahu, challenging to become leader of the Likud Party and its candidate for premier in the March 28 elections, told Israel Radio.

"I'm carrying the tradition of (former Israeli premier) Menahem Begin, who did not let one of Iran's neighbours, the Iraq of Saddam Hussein, develop such a threat against Israel and in a bold and daring strike bought us two decades. I believe this is what Israel should do," he said.

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

As we stated on our October 29th posting regarding the statement made by Iran's President calling for the destruction of Israel:

As you well know, we do not approve of war in any form or fashion, however, we do not run the world.

Therefore - such attitude by Iran's leadership will be taken, by Western Powers, as a Declaration of War. With this in mind, we refer you to the explanation of the Divine Logic associated with the events at Hiroshima and NagasakiBy world standards, the U.S. and allies could not be condemned for taking preemptive action. The most serious problem here is that the US seems to have been now  very obviously set up to act in a manner which is all too predictable.

Of course, the above cannot be considered a "Prophetic Statement", announcing a dawn or a sunset is not a "Prophetic Statement", it is a known an expected fact, unless, of course, it is a false one.

It should be noted that, with the exception of  Aljazeera we have not no one else besides DPA making such news public. May those who Eyes, See and Ears, Hear.

  NEWS - France's Lower House OKs Anti-Terror Bill -   November 29 -  AP

Selected Quotes:   (Highlighting, if any, by The M+G+R Foundation)

France's lower house of parliament overwhelmingly approved a new anti-terrorism bill Tuesday that would increase the use of video surveillance and allow police more time to question terror suspects. The National Assembly voted 373-27 for the bill, which still needs to clear a Senate vote in January before becoming law.

Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, leading efforts to strengthen laws against terrorism in response to deadly July bombings in London, sought to assure lawmakers the bill would not trample on civil liberties, as some fear.

He told the National Assembly the measures would allow police to pre-empt terror attacks and not work "after the fact."

"This debate has paved the way for providing France with a more efficient arsenal," he said. "The idea being that the worst should be avoided and that we must give greater powers to law enforcement to avoid a catastrophe."

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

As we read these news, it is hard no to think about the recent rioting in France and how it could have affected this "overwhelming" support. We cannot help but have back flashes to the 2001 Anti-G 8 "riots" in Genoa. May those who have "Eyes, See" and those who have "Ears, Hear" - should there be something to be seen and/or heard.

It took years for other "spontaneous" events to be exposed for what they were. Now, we don't have that kind of time left.

NEWS -    Roman Catholic Church abuse scandal spreads to Brazil -   November 26 -  Mail and Guardian Online

Selected Quotes:   (Highlighting, if any, by The M+G+R Foundation)

"A growing sex-abuse scandal is rocking the world's largest national congregation of Catholics. This week, a Brazilian priest
was given a lengthy jail sentence after a court heard extracts from a diary that read like a paedophile priest's how-to manual.

Regina Soares Jurkwicz, author of Unveiling the Politics of Silence: Sexual Abuse of Women by Priests in Brazil, said the
South American country could now be facing a problem of even greater dimensions than that uncovered in the US in 2002.

"The Catholic Church doesn't know what to do," she said. "In Brazil, the [typical] reaction of the Catholic hierarchy is first to
try to cover up the problem or discredit the witness.

"Then, it is to transfer the priest to another community, which is not told why he was transferred there."

Jurkwicz said the problem has been exacerbated by the vast social divide between Brazil's haves and have-nots.

"The victims are almost always poor, vulnerable people," she said, arguing that Brazil's wealth gap makes it easier for priests
to exploit youngsters with impunity.

According to extracts from its report, carried in Brazil's IstoE magazine, 10% of Brazil's priests -- about 1 700 clerics -- are involved in cases of sexual misconduct, including the physical abuse of children and women.

The study was also said to have found that in the past three years at least 200 Brazilian priests were referred to church psychological
institutions following cases involving paedophilia. Ten clerics are in jail and a further 40 are on the run from the law.

On Thursday, Father Tarcisio Tadeu Spricigo was jailed for 14 years and eight months for sexually abusing two boys, one of them a
five-year-old. In his diary, obtained by police in São Paulo, the 48-year-old priest stressed the need "to have boys who can keep a secret
and without sexual scruples".

The M+G+R Foundation Comments

This is how children are damaged by such demonically depraved behavior. However, the worst part is that the real culprits are not the spiritually sick priests who engage in this behavior; the real culprits are the Church Administrators who cover up for them and, the better they cover up, the greater their Papal rewards. These men are a Living Blasphemy.
