AN UPDATE and A TIMELY REMINDER
In the Gospel according to St. Luke we read the passage about the appearance of Our Lord in the Road to Emmaus. There are several important messages in such passage, however, there is one key message which, if not understood, will result in untold suffering for many.
Once again, fulfilling our calling, we bring this critical issue to the attention of the faithful.
As the two disciples were walking with
Jesus, unrecognized by them yet, they were explaining to Him the recent
events in Jerusalem pertaining
...Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God an all the people, how our chief priests and rulers handed him over to a sentence of death and crucified Him. But we were hoping that he would be the one to redeem Israel;... [S. Luke 24:25-27]
Then, as you probably know, they proceeded to tell the stranger walking with them the reports about the empty tomb, etc. At that point Our Lord said:
'Oh, how foolish you are! How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and enter into his glory?' Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them what referred to him in all the Scriptures. [S. Luke 24:25-27]
Brothers and sisters - we must realize
that before Our Lord Jesus Christ returns in Glory, all the events that the prophets,
His disciples and He Himself foretold about His Glorious return must
be fulfilled. (1)
Why would the almost impatient words spoken by Him in the Road to Emmaus not apply for His Glorious Return? Would God leave us without guideposts at the times of the AntiChrist (2), AND the FalseChrist (3)?
There have been many valid Marian Apparitions/Communications over the last century and a half. Some of the faithful are more inclined to believe the Messages from one Apparition than from another. That is normal. Some of the faithful may even believe that certain Apparitions are not true. This is also normal. Since each soul is so different and has been molded by many different sufferings and experiences we cannot expect unanimous agreement on matters so delicate as spiritual matters. However, this reasonable relativism cannot be applied to the Holy Scriptures and its messages from God to His creatures.
There are a number of prophecies which must be fulfilled before the Return in Glory of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Any Heavenly Message and/or interpretation that attempts to overrule the Holy Scriptures, cannot be from God. Did not S. John, the beloved disciple, write:
I warn everyone who hears the prophetic words in this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words in this prophetic book, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city described in this book.? [Revelation 22:18-19]
Recently, Don Gobbi, visible head of the Marian Movement of Priests, held a major cenacle in the state of Florida, U.S.A.. This was followed by an appearance at Mother Angelica Live at EWTN. We were able to listen to his words through EWTN play back systems. In his talk, Don Gobbi emphasized that in the year 2000 the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary would take place. [Note: The translation into English accurately reflected D. Gobbi's words in Italian.]
Although Don Gobbi does not say in the referred to program that Jesus will return at such time, in his published locution of December 5, 1994, given at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, we read:
I confirm to you that, by the great jubilee of the year two thousand, there will take place the triumph of my Immaculate Heart, of which I foretold you at Fatima, and this will come to pass with the return of Jesus in glory, to establish his Reign in the world. Thus you will at last be able to see with your own eyes the new heaven and the new earth.
We have read that locution in Portuguese, into which it is also directly translated from Italian, and it coincides exactly. Therefore, we cannot ascribe any error of translation to such quotation.
The situation is simple and our position is clear. We are neither endorsing nor contesting the words of Don Gobbi. We are simply alerting the innocent faithful that:
Just like our Lord told us at the time of the conversation in the Road of Emmaus, we remind you that: ALL that has been foretold to take place before the Glorious Return of Our Lord must be fulfilled, otherwise, it is false and you will be then only witnessing the manifestation of the FalseChrist, the Antichrist.
If the world is to experience the fulfillment of what Don Gobbi delivered as a locution from the Virgin Mary on December 5, 1994, partially confirmed just recently at the EWTN program, and reconfirmed to Fr. Roux in Europe sometime in June 2000, that is, that the Triumph of Her Immaculate Heart and the Return in Glory of Our Lord will take place in the year 2000, then, for all appropriate Biblical prophesies to be fulfilled, the world is about to plunge into a series of horrific events any moment now.
Of course, should it not happen, then
the faithful must take a long and hard look at the Marian Movement of
Priests since this failed prophecy is the second after the failed prophecy of 1998.
NOTE Added on September 3, 2001
For an Exposé of the behind-the-scenes manipulation of the alleged locutions through the MMP read the original correspondence which appears to have caused the Marian Movement of Priests to change their prophecies and reinterpret the alleged locutions.
Only by remaining in intimate
communion with the Holy Spirit, humanity will be able to discern the
truth as we approach the Glorious Return of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
