PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this document is to illustrate the dangers of fanaticism, identify its signs and suggest how to counteract it. A secondary purpose is to clearly identify who were really responsible for the crucifixion of Our Lord Jesus Christ as well as the meaning of the 'Crucifixion of the Mystical Body of Christ'.

Once the responsibility for the crucifixion of Jesus is clearly established, we must make an effort to truly and effectively eradicate the unjust stigma which the Jews have been carrying for nearly 2,000 years of Christendom. A stigma which has been used over and over again to abuse the people from which our Savior and our much venerated Mother sprung forth.

INTRODUCTION

Even in the field of science sometimes, the "forest cannot be seen for the trees". In such cases, to be able to "see the forest" we must take some steps back – as many as are needed – and look at the overall panorama. Only then we will begin to discern the emerging patterns, so that the "forest" comes into sharp focus.

For example – The key message that we may discern from an overview of the Sacred Scriptures is that God has provided for mankind the means for its redemption – the Messiah, the Christ. He is the key. A corresponding key message is that the evil one, finally manifesting himself as the False Messiah, the False Christ (1), will fight against the redemption plan until the very end.

For Jews, Christians and Muslims alike, the overall message is the same. However, the disagreement is over the timing of the Messiah: whether His coming will be His 'First' or His 'Second'. Because of the "trees of disagreement" we fail to see the "forest of urgency".

Our beloved Heavenly Father Willed that the information handed down to us could be correctly interpreted by those expecting the Second Coming of the Messiah, just as well as by those still expecting His First Coming. If we then pay attention to the overall picture, the "forest of urgency" will come into full focus.

Please Note: Since the primary audience of this document is composed of Christians, we will pursue the path that addresses the Second Coming of the Messiah, and the Crucifixion of His Mystical Body.

BACKGROUND

All Christian pastors agree that there will be a Second Coming. However, most act as if it will occur in some very distant future. As illogical as it may sound, such an attitude makes sense since the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is the result of our failure to carry out what He came to teach us in the First Coming.

If we had fulfilled our responsibility, the Day of the Lord would not be "terrible" [Malachi , Chapters 1 through 4] and no one wants to assume the responsibility of a failed Evangelization.

Those who believe themselves to be the Evangelizers and those who claim to be followers of Christ have failed – and their state of denial increases in proportion to the level of their corruption. Of psychological necessity, the reality of the Second Coming of Christ is buried deeper and deeper in their subconscious. The nearer the time of the Second Coming is, the more vehemently they deny its approach.

Not everyone in Christendom denies the proximity of the Second Coming, however. Among those who are aware of the urgency of these times are people who, inspired by legitimate Marian Apparitions (2), experienced a conversion of heart and started a prayerful life. However, for many of these people, their prayer life soon became mechanical and empty of its life-giving spiritual component. They become self righteous, without realizing that their mechanical rituals have replaced the true union with the Saving Power of the Messiah and, that, in effect, they have separated themselves from Him. (3)

To many the Messiah has become one more automatic dispenser of "favors"; just like a vending machine. One does "this" and He does "that". They do not realize that He allows [1Kings 22:13-23] this false sense of security to exist as part of the Mystery of Iniquity – as the stage is being set to separate the wheat from the chaff.

DETAILS and DEVELOPMENT

About the Second Coming

Many well intentioned people think that the Antichrist, the False Christ (1), will come announcing with trumpets and cymbals that he is the False Christ. This is as unrealistic as to expect creditors to knowingly accept counterfeit money in payment of one's debts. Just as the wolf deceives most by passing himself as a lamb (4), the thorn bush deceives most by impersonating a fig tree.

How then can those who are waiting for the Bridegroom in all sincerity be sure of which is the fig tree [Matthew 24:32-34] which signals the coming of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ?

The principle of parallelism will help in the identification of that crucial fig tree since the events associated with the First Coming are parallel to those of the Second Coming.

For example, in the era of His Second Coming His Mystical Body must be crucified (5), just like His Physical Body was after His First Coming. The same principle demands a third manifestation of Elijah to prepare the way for His return. (The second manifestation having been John the Baptist [Rev. 11:3-6; Malachi 3:1-2, etc.])

A crucial question arises then: Who makes up this Mystical Body?

The answer: Those who strive in all sincerity to live the Word of God are the members of His Mystical Body, regardless of the monotheistic Faith they may profess.

At the First Coming, the Chosen People changed from being exclusively the descendants of Abraham to encompass all humanity. Similarly today, no single Religion may claim that its members are the exclusive components of the Mystical Body of Christ.

He who listens to the Word of God – Jesus Christ – assimilates It and lives It, thus allows the Word to "become flesh" again in his own body. Therefore, all who try to live His Word and succeed in some measure, become real and tangible members of the Mystical Body of Christ, the Word Incarnate, in the measure they have tried and not in the measure they have succeeded.

About the Responsibility for the Crucifixion of Jesus

At the time when Our Lord Jesus Christ walked among us there were basically five categories of people:

(1) The Roman Imperial rulers;

(2) The established Church of that time with the Elders, Priests, Pharisees, Scribes, etc. steeped in high profiled, restrictive and elaborate man-made rituals which, by then, had become devoid of any real connection with God. This was the way Judaism was practiced after the Babylonian exile;

(3) The Essenes and Samaritans who mostly adhered to the Judaism practiced before the Babylonian exile.

(4) The sinners – prostitutes, tax collectors, etc.; and

(5) The masses, whose loyalty, like today, could be easily swayed because they did not have a firm anchor: the knowledge of God.

Meditating on the Holy Scriptures one can see that:

(a) Imperial Rome was not threatened by Jesus Christ – He was willing to give Caesar what was Caesar's. In spite of Pilate's evil reputation, he made a great effort to avoid crucifying Our Lord. He, a pagan, even proclaimed Jesus Christ as the King of the Jews with a rustic sign on the Cross; a sign which he would not change in spite of the insistence of the Religious Leaders.

(b) Jesus frequently used the Samaritans as examples for charitable behavior [Luke 17:16 and 10:33] and clearly used the Essene calendar which was the one used before the Babylonian exile.

(c) The established sinners of then, like most of today, when they heard the true Word of God were moved to conversion. There is no record of a prostitute or a tax collector trying to harm Our Lord for calling all to conversion.

(d) The masses, like they still do, wanted their physical ailments healed and their empty stomachs filled. They favored Our Lord until they were incited against Him.

That leaves one single group; the most unlikely one...

(e) The insecure, dictatorial, ritual laden and arrogant elements within the Religious Ruling Class of the time – the leaders of the post Babylonian exile Judaism.

Neither the Romans, nor the sinners, nor the Jewish population at large, nor the levelheaded elements within the Religious Ruling Class caused the crucifixion of Our Lord.

His crucifixion was caused precisely by the controlling fanatic elements within the Religious Ruling Class of the time. They were violating every Divine Teaching, in spite of claiming to have been charged to serve God and proclaiming that they were doing so. Just as most high profile Christian leaders of today do.

Our Lord pointed this out many times to them. They were not willing to give God what was God's: Obedience and Loyalty. They had their own agenda to fulfill instead. These religious fanatics were no different than those who masterminded and fueled the Inquisition from the very Chair of St. Peter.

CONCLUSION

How will the Crucifixion of the Mystical Body of Christ come about? It will manifest itself as a brutal persecution of the true people of God.

The key to the understanding this document is the realization that a saint is not made overnight (7) and that people have to be helped with love and compassion in this journey. Sin, is sin and cannot be justified. That is not negotiable; however, we must emulate the father of the prodigal son: "...his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck and kissed him" [Luke 15:20]

We are already seeing all the parallels to the environment that led to the First Coming and the Crucifixion of His Physical Body. For example...

(a) The Roman Empire equivalent of today, which are the governments of some of the most Industrialized Nations of the world (i.e. members of the European Union), are attempting to lead the people back to a more compassionate, thus, socialized oriented society, one step at a time. Mistakes are made and errors are being committed because they lack the necessary spiritual formation and, by attempting to be compassionate, they become enablers to sin.

(b) Hardened sinners, young and old alike, are most attentive to the Word of God when is delivered without duplicity. They are thirsting for it, yet, they will not enter a House of Worship. Why? Duplicity reigns in most Houses of Worship.

(c) The masses, as long as they are fed and think that they are being healed, go along with whomever is dispensing the temporal conveniences, including the psychosomatic conveniences.

(d) Some elements among the Religious Rulers of today, be they Christians, Muslems, or Jews, are themselves fanning the flames of anti religion by their obstinate and fanatical intransigence. This intransigence takes the form of demanding instant sainthood from those who have become lost – precisely as the result of the abysmal failures of organized religion (any organized religion).

It is imperative that we open our spiritual eyes and see how close we are (8) to the Crucifixion of the Mystical Body of Christ.

No one can stop it, for it is written in Scripture and it must come to pass. However, in our hands rest the power to reduce the suffering (9) by helping our brethren in the journey "home" to the Father. The pathway to the Kingdom of God is paved with love, compassion and charity, and not with intransigence and condemnation.

H.H. John XXIII clearly reminded the world of the right path and what to avoid when he said:

"Our daily, unavoidable and indispensable duty leads us step by step towards a more perfect resemblance with Jesus Christ. We cannot do this in any other way, by facile enthusiasm, or by a fanaticism which, even if innocent, is always harmful."

Sin, is sin and it is not negotiable, but we must love the lost sheep back home. The way of love is the only way to bring the sheep safely home to God.
