The Rector of the Sanctuary of Fatima in Portugal

Questions the Marian Movement of Priests

Translation of Original Letter

FROM: Msgr. Luciano Guerra Rector of the Sanctuary of Fátima, Portugal

TO: Fr. António Cardoso Cristoväo MMP Director - Portugal [Former Chaplain of the Sanctuary of Fátima and  Confessor to Miguel de Portugal at the time]

DATE: February 20, 1995

SUBJECT: Marian Movement of Priests

Reverend Sir:

I have received your letter dated January 30, 1995 for which I thank you.

As the result of the many responsibilities of the Chaplains of the Sanctuary, it will be impossible for them to participate in the Cenacle to be held in the Chapel of the Apparitions.

I would like to take this opportunity to inquire if the Marian Movement of Priests has the approval of any Bishop within this area or of the Holy See. Just recently I received a request for clarification of this matter and would like to be able to respond. [If possible!]

With wishes of great Blessings and Graces for you from Our Lady, I present to you my best greetings.

The Rector
