A Public Forum - Part IIPublished on June 2008
The purpose of this Public Forum - Part II is to publish communications sent to us, communications which require no response from us, yet, we feel that their content may be beneficial for the spiritual health of the Faithful.
We reserve the right to choose which communications will be published and to edit them as
necessary for clarity. The identity of the correspondent will be kept confidential unless
requested otherwise.
We received a letter from a collaborator whose sincerity, honesty and assistance we value greatly. He had a very valid question which - in edited form - we reproduce below:
This is what we answered him - straight from the heart:
Here is what we suggest that you do...

I will like to add a few comments as a result of your posting on Archbishop Burke's promotion to Rome as published on the Did You Know That....? page dated June 28th.
Starting here, with this post from Amy Welbon's blog (1) today:
---------------------------
St. Louis Catholics - well, many of them - will be saddened to know that Archbishop Burke is leaving them. As rumored, he has been named Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of Apostolic Signatura.
More from John Allen (author of the very pro Opus Dei book):
The appointment puts Burke, who turns 60 on June 30, in line to become a cardinal.
Burke is expected to relocate to Rome in August to take up his new duties.
The nomination comes as little surprise to church-watchers, who have long speculated that Burke might return to Rome at some point.Burke received a doctorate in canon law from Rome’s Gregorian University in 1984, and from 1989 to 1994 he served as the Defender of the Bond in the Apostolic Signatura, a position equivalent to the top defense attorney in the Vatican’s legal system.
In July 2006, Benedict XVI named Burke a member of the Apostolic Signatura, a move that some observers at the time interpreted as grooming him to eventually take over the top spot on the court.
In the Vatican, there are three courts: the Roman Rota, which is an appeals court that deals largely with cases involving requests for annulment of a marriage; the Apostolic Signatura, more or less the “Supreme Court” of the church; and the Apostolic Penitentiary, which handles cases involving the “internal forum,” meaning especially delicate matters that can’t be resolved through the normal legal process.
In Catholic circles, Burke has long been considered one of the most precise legal minds at the senior levels of the church, with an encyclopedic knowledge of the Code of Canon Law, the legal system of the Catholic church, as well as the tradition of case law stemming from that code.
snip
• Conflicts between two Vatican offices;
• Appeals against decisions by diocesan bishops and Vatican offices;
• Appeals against decisions by the Roman Rota.
Two other Americans are members of the Apostolic Signatura: Cardinal Edward Egan (2) of N. Y., and Bishop Thomas Doran of Rockford, IL.
---------------------------
2. He swiftly and severely he punished a St. Louis nun, Sr. Louise Lears, who participated in the "ordination" of women as "priests." Compare this with the slow process often used for pedo-priests. By the track record of the Roman Catholic Church, it has to be the case that they see open challenges to Church authority as a more severe crime than pederasty.
3. Note the other Americans on the "Supreme Court": Cardinal Egan (2) and Bishop Doran (3).
So there you have it: Burke, Egan, and Doran on the Roman Catholic Church's "Supreme Court," with Burke as "Chief Justice." Levada (4) runs the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and Law (5) runs the Cathedral of St. Mary Major.
Never let it be said that the Vatican is anti-American, or that it does not believe in affirmative action. It clearly has a quota program in place for the oppressed minority group, the Evil-American members of the Hierarchy.

In view of your recent mailing (1) regarding the cell phone safety or lack thereof, I felt moved to share the following with The M+G+R Foundation Family.
CELL PHONE vs. BIBLE
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.
Makes you stop and think 'Where are my priorities?'
No dropped calls and unlimited in-network calling!

Mobile phone safety problems
June 18, 2008
Summary
The microwave radiation from mobile phones have harmful effects at intensity levels far below the official safety threshold values . This is confirmed by a considerable body of evidence.
The radiation of the mobile phones is adapted to these far to high threshold values.
This means that your mobile phone radiation is strong enough to exert harmful influences
on your brain and other tissues even at normal usage.
Accumulating evidence indicate that microwave radiation from mobile phones may cause serious
diseases and disturbances in the physiology. This includes genetic damage leading to an
increased cancer risk, especially brain tumors, disturbed brain function and other health
disturbances.
Conclusion
- People should be very restrictive with using mobile phones as there is a growing body of compelling scientific evidence indicating serious hazards. Especially the steadily growing numbers of studies indicating increased risk for brain tumors are worrisome. Therefore, we advice you to reduce the usage to very few and brief calls, see "How long is safe to call?" (below).
- Further buildup of the mobile phone net should be stopped. Steadily increasing evidence indicates that it is too harmful to be acceptable for common usage. Moreover, it has been repeatedly confirmed that the radiation from base stations is harmful to health.
The M+G+R Foundation Comments:
Option (b): When instant continuous and worldwide communication becomes a threat to the "World Masters", then, for the "security and benefit of all", they will be banned with certain exceptions.
As you can see, satan has every single base covered and only the Holy Spirit of God can help us navigate through these stormy and polluted - in all imaginable ways - waters.
Why are we delving and sharing this kind of information instead of focusing on the spiritual area more?
Quite simple: The faster the faithful understands that there is no way out from the hell-mess the world is in now but through God, and that God is made part of our lives only through intense prayer and communion with Him - not the usual sped through rosary or hastily prayed Our Father - the less the Elect will have to suffer as we navigate through the End of These Times.

I did a search on American Catholic's website (1) for "reserved hosts" and one of the hits included this reference. It seems to illustrate, again, that hosts used at a particular Mass should be transubstantiated at that Mass. Practice in many parishes however seems to find eucharistic ministers reaching again and again for pre-consecrated hosts in ciboria placed in the tabernacle for just such "exigencies."
2) Bread Blessed at the Same Mass
This has been a constant exhortation of every Eucharistic instruction since Pius XII's Mediator Dei in 1947. It stands to reason that if the Eucharist is a meal as well as a sacrifice, then the food we eat should be present to us on the table from the beginning of Mass. Ordinarily, it should not be the consecrated bread reserved in the tabernacle far communicating the sick and the dying and for Eucharistic worship apart from Mass.
A little planning and forethought regarding the number of communicants can normally assure enough bread consecrated for each celebration of Mass.

You may have heard us say in the past something like "This message is more for our National Security Agency (NSA) "Guardian Angels", who monitor all of our correspondence, so that they pass it on to those who can do something about it."
Today we just found, imbedded in every link which appears under the LATEST UPDATES IN DOMAIN heading of most our mailings to you, the following code http://www.infragard.net/
Click on it and see where it will take you. Frankly, the least they could do - if we are keeping the informed - is to send a donation our way. God only knows how many billions they are wasting in the Middle East and getting nowhere.
We just pray that they use the information constructively.
Many continued Blessings!

Greetings in Christ to you all:
As I have mentioned in an earlier note some time ago, I have a profoundly retarded child who has lived in frequent seizures for nearly his entire life of now thirty eight years and has been in full time nursing care for the last twenty five. While his mental retardation has been profound his physical abilities have been reasonably normal. He can walk and has had good overall health excepting the complications from the diagnosis of Tuberous Sclerosis...
Recently, he was checked and found to have elevated levels of cholesterol for which the physician prescribed lipitor two months ago. He was admitted to the special care clinic of a local hospital last Wednesday and his mental abilities have significantly diminished from what they had been before- I suspect acute side effects from the lipitor but other diagnoses are still in play.
The pain of a father who has lived his son's lifetime suffering in my way as M has suffered in his way has taught me beautiful lessons. I feel myself walking the Via Dolorossa (1) with my Savior experiencing the horror, the regrets , the sorrows but realizing that Triumph waits at the end of this "Road Of Sorrow".
When I told my wife how much I felt M's pain and my own I told her that I imagined myself pouring that pain into the Vessel that is Jesus and mixing my pain with His...I told her that my pain is deeper because of His Pain through me but I also felt a sweetness in the sadness I could not quite describe...something of a quality that tells me that the tears will be turned to smiles and that they already have been for believing in Him...
...there is nothing more I can add... (2)

From Paul of Tarsus @ Corinth - Published on May 31st, 2008 [Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary plus the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom: Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine. For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables. But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry. Be sober.
For I am even now ready to be sacrificed: and the time of my dissolution is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice, which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming.P of T
